Very versatile timer Good points: Plenty of options on the timing and works very well on my external LED light powered from a solar fed battery battery via a charge controller, . These timers are available for half the price from China but you will wait a month for delivery and without the usual excellent solar centre service! Not so good: No instructions. There are a number of youtube video's that describe the correct way to wire up the timer (it is not as simple as the connections suggest - search for 12vDC timer). I followed one of these and the timer works perfectly - just need 4 female crimp connectors, one small length of wire and moderate DIY skills - which you will have if you have any wiring experience. Once correctly connected I found that I needed to press the reset button 'C' to bring up the LCD and be able to start the clock and timer settings.Apparently the timer has a small rechargeable battery which retains the settings once it has had power for a short while. AS the timer is outdoors I need to find a way of making it moisture proof... By David
