The lantern looks lovely and is exactly what was required especially as you can screw the base to a brick pillar beside the gate. However it is very dim and doesn't charge up to give a bright light despite being placed away from any shading. I am therefore rather disappointed. By J Davey on Dec 16, 2015

Excellent lamp, puts the finishing touch to our decking. I would have reviewed higher for the lamp but the delivery company was a disaster. They don't deserve any stars. Just beware of DPD! I had to change the delivery date because of the time slot they gave and then the lamp kept being returned to the depot. Should have been delivered Thursday, eventually received the following Tuesday. Perhaps a change of delivery company would be a good idea. By Jonathan on Aug 05, 2016

We'll pass the feedback onto DPD, we've tried all the UK couriers and have to say DPD are the best by some margin. That's not to say they're perfect, as you sadly found out, sometimes a poor delivery driver is all it takes.

Question:
bought these lights to go on the posts either side of the driveway. I installed them early January 2018 so the experience so far has been with very short days:
Pros:
They were easy to fit
They do come on when it is dusk
They do light up
Cons:
they are not very bright - we have two street lamps near us and our lights struggle to compete with them
They don't last long in winter - they stay bright for a couple of hours. There is a setting that will make them stay on for longer but it means the light is dimmer

We've not had these long so time and weather will tell if they will survive outdoors. However the lights look the business and look more expensive than they actually were. Very pleased with them and they look really good on our brick pillars going down to the lower patio. Question:
Once I put on my glasses and found the on-off switch in an easy access position contrary to the sheet which got me trying to , it was plain sailing.
The unit is attractive and throws a light not far,but as we wanted it for just seeing the footpath and plants this was fine.
The delivery service from solar centre was excellent.

Very nice product arrived promptly and was well packed. We did order two by mistake but happy to accept both and will look to order again. Would be nice to have discount if ordering more than one as quite pricey. We did originally order for the table but having a garden redesign we have lots of steps and used them the highlight.
