- 1. Mount Solar PIR Utility Light
- 2. Mount the Solar PIR Utility Light solar panel within 4.8 metres of the light
- 3. Plug panel cable into the light unit

Very impressed with this purchase. The light unit is brighter than expected, it lights up the decking area outside the back door, and a good part of the garden too - without flooding the neighbours' gardens with light! The range of the sensor is somewhat impressive, I have the unit mounted just above the back door, and it comes on as soon as you step foot outside.
The mounting bracket for the light is reported rather flimsy, but to get round this, make a small mounting plate out of plywood, then screw the mounting bracket to that, then screw the plywood mount to the wall.

Fitted the solar panel to the South-side of the barn. Inside I fitted the light half-way up the wall. The light given off was enough to see around the barn.
The reason for the solar light, is that I have no power to the barn and was a great alternative

This lamp replaced a previous identical model which had lasted exactly six years. It had worked perfectly all those years and had been subjected to all weathers during that period.
