Frequently Asked Questions
Question:
After messing around with some cheap, (and ultimately nasty!), solar lights, I've been delighted with the quality and performance of this one. It lights up the area around our lockable side entrance gate extremely well and has been very reliable so far. Good looking and a doddle to fit, I am struggling to find anything negative to write about this light, but if I were to be very picky it would be to mention the thread on the bottom cover. This needs to be removed to access the on/off switch and is very fine and easy to cross-thread, so care is needed to avoid damage. Otherwise, the light is perfect and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it. By Dave on Aug 09, 2018 Helpful? 5 | 0
Question:
I bought 4 of these lights. Generally I'm very pleased except that one of the lights has developed a fault and is no longer working properly. It stopped detecting motion and the light was permanently on but now it has stopped working all together. By Bill on Jan 16, 2017 Answer:
Thanks for your review Bill. At this time of year a good location is crucial to the performance of the lights so you could try swapping over the location of a working one with the non working one to see if that might be the issue? Please let us know how you get on.

Question:
Literally a brilliant little light.
Charges during the day, both in winter (and presumably summer) then activates at night and with superb motion sensor. When positioned correctly it means no more fumbling for keys (or treading on snails) on the path leading to the front door.
In summary - solar powered, motion activated (and snail preserving) spot lighting perfection. By Brian on Mar 17, 2018 Helpful? 4 | 0
Question:
The light was easy to install, is very stylish and gives out a good light even with only a few hours sunshine in the Autumn.
Exactly what I wanted.

Question:
Very easy to install. Waited the three days for it to charge, which it did even on dull winter days, and it works perfectly. Beyond my expectations for this kind of light. Why anyone would consider the bother of fitting a mains power light I do not know; and , of course, this is Eco. friendly. Highly recommended.

Question:
easy to fix, works very well, does the job intended for it . By dave edwards on Mar 08, 2017 Helpful? 3 | 1
Question:
Great light - easy to install. Works well as downlight next to door. Easy to install - just need a drill. The motion sensor range is quite long around 5m so it does go off when a car passes, but it is quite a discrete downward light pool, so doesn't cause a disturbance. Battery life appears ok. IP44, so I'll wait and see how weather proof it is... By Brizzlar on Oct 02, 2017 Helpful? 3 | 0
Question:
Good product. Easy to fit outside front door. Sensor picks up movement at the furthest point of my pathway. It is fitted on the north facing wall and seems to get enough light to keep charged. Would recommend to others. By Chris Brooks on Jan 14, 2018 Answer:
Thanks for the review. We really don't recommend positioning our lights on a north facing north wall but it's great it works for you. Again thank you for the review.

Question:
Seems good quality and bright , will monitor over the next few months By Clive Ketteridge on Sep 13, 2016 Helpful? 2 | 0
Question:
I was dubious about this purchase after reading negative reviews on solar powered lights. I installed the light and waited three days before turning the power on. It's a winner I'm so happy with the brightness and the range of the sensor, I'm going to purchase a second light for the other side of the door. Blind all my visitors, Hopefully they'll get the message. By Grumpy old man on Nov 07, 2016 Helpful? 2 | 0
