Solar PIR Porch Light

Porch light defect On delivery the box packet was damaged. A corner was crushed in. I examined the light and solar panel and it appears no damage. How ever the light switches on for 30 seconds and then off for 3 seconds and then back on for another 30 seconds and then repeats the sequence for about 2 hours. I have tried a different position for the light in the porch, and the same sequence occurs. I phoned your help line and I am pleased that a replacement is on the way. I'd give it 5 but.... This is the second we've bought of this item. The first worked well for its 2 years or so and delivered good light at our front door. I'd give this one 5 but one of the LED's in the outer circle is dead. Already chucked the packaging so wont be returning. Good service. Prompt delivery. Was a bit skeptical when I placed an order. It's for our allotment shed where we can't get electricity supply. It was so bright when I first switched it on and the motion sensor switch on itself works perfectly. Install it in the winter and charging have no problem. V good but could be improved slightly This is a very bright light and very good value for a solar motion light. My only small criticism is the clasp on the back of the light is hard to fit and we managed to snap it as it is plastic. It would be better being made of metal (superglue fixed it) By Sally Hall

Very pleased but slight room for improvement I installed the light in our porch with the panel on the south facing wall outside it and it works like a dream. I was concerned that people walking past on the street after dark might trigger it but that's not a problem. If I had any negatives, and it's only a small one, the plastic clasp that secures the light to the ceiling is very fragile. The screw holes are so close to the edge of the clip that it's very easy to cause the plastic to split when tightening the screws. Perhaps making this clip more robust, or even better out of metal, would fix the problem and this product would fully deserve a 5 star rating. By Tony C

I would like to say how pleased I am with my purchase. I placed my order with you on Friday 16th March at about 3pm and the item was delivered at 11am the next morning. Installation was very easy ( about 30 mins ) and the light output is much better than I expected. I was so pleased that I have now ordered another product from you the Evo 15 security light. I bought this after previously getting the EVO56 solar powered security light, and for use lighting inside my garage which doesn't have power. The light is a decent brightness to allow you to see what your doing, but no where near the power of the EVO56 security light. I'd say something akin to around a 30w incandescent bulb. The PIR sensor is great as the light automatically turns on as you enter the garage. The light itself was out of charge when I installed as I kept turning it on to establish the bes positioning so it lost the "out of the box" charge. However within 3-4 overcast days with a few hours of sun there was enough charge for it to start lighting up again for the short periods (2-3 mins) I normally spend in the garage.Had the light around a month now and would recommend for anyone looking for a solution where you don't have power. I was a bit sceptical about this light having experienced some naff solar things before but so far i'm quite impressed no its not as bright as a mains light. If like me you dont have a mains supply near your porch etc this is a resonable compromise. The pir comes on at about 4 meters away and stays on for about 30 seconds. By A UK Guy
